PESCO WILL PURCHASE 10 MW POWER FROM GADOON TEXTILE MILLS

PESCO signed a contract with Gadoon Textile  Mills Limited. The contract is part of the deal which was made between APTMA and WAPDA. To help WAPDA in overcoming its shortcoming of energy APTMA offered to provide Surplus Power from its member's captive power plants running on furnace oil. APTMA members agreed to provide the power at no profit basis and just on the cost of generation. The rates agreed 1.26/KWHR for operation cost and fuel cost at the rate of 245 gms/KWHR.

Gadoon Textile will provide the power from its new 3 gensets powered by MAN B&W 18 V/32 S type engines each can develop 4 MW.

The unit is situated in Gdoon and this is expected that the power available will be used in Gadoon only.
